I have to admit, when I first heard of the cash for clunkers program, I really thought it was referring to the bonus payment plan for CEO’s who recieved bailout money. My bad!… Turns out it is a replacement through rebate plan for new car purchases. The Government had allocated 1 billion dollars to fund this plan, through November 2009. Unfortunately, only one week into it, they have run out of money and need an additional 4 Billion to make it through November. (Yeah right! Run with me for a moment here.) This cash for clunkers program was just a small program in the larger scheme of running a car business as they are attempting to do, ( with people who have no car experience I might add ) , and at this minimal level they failed to properly forecast the cost. One Week!  Now, (stick with me!), let’s extrapolate this to the auto industry as a whole. Their inability to properly forecast costs of business is a formula for failure at it’s highest level and we should soon see GM going bankrupt again only this time under Government Ownership.

We all know that the Government has never, I repeat never come in at budget, or God forbid under-budget on any program or initiative they have ever considered or implemented. I repeat, Never!, and now these guys are telling us that they can reform healthcare to be deficit neutral, and even save us money.

They project over 1 Trillion dollars over the next ten years as cost of this initiative of reform. However, in keeping with their trend of miscalculations, I would have to expect the real cost to come in some where around 65 – 100 Trillion when all is said and done. ( corruptly speaking of course!)

The people in Government have always kept me fearful and on gaurd, but I got to tell you, the group of headless chickens running around there now, flat out scare the hell out of me.

Reports have just come forward that the Justice Dept. is dropping all charges against the members of “The New Black Panthers” that were videotaped standing in front of a Philiadelphia Polling station carrying billy-clubs and spouting racist comments at entrants during last years Presidential election. So let me get this straight.. First, we’re told the Police are “stupid” for doing their job, and now the Justice Dept. is “justified” in not doing their’s. How much more do we need to see, before we as a nation realize, what “just over” half of us have done to all of us?

During the Democratic Debates in the last Presidential election, when asked the question if they were “liberals”, Hillary Clinton and others refuted that label, (polling must have shown that the  ”Liberal” title was not popular at the time), and declared that she was instead a “Progressive!”

Many assumed she and others were only using a different label for the same ideology, Not so!  What they were doing, was finally owning up to a different ideology entirely. One with even further far reaching ramifications to our nation as a whole.

As August vacation begins for our elected officials and they return home for a much needed break after accomplishing nothing while in Washington, let’s welcome them back with open arms and open forums. While many will be taking trips abroad,(funded by the taxpayers), for various fact finding junkets and “International Meetings”, some will also be hosting town hall events in their local districts.

It is at these town hall meeting that we the voting public should take the time and visit with our representative’s and refresh their minds as to who they actually work for, and what our directives of such representation are.

Why is the Federal Reserve holding the TARP money supposedly given to banks to stimulate lending? The banks are being paid interest on the money’s still held by the FED and thereby increasing their bottom lines even further. The TARP funds and Stimulus Package were both to designed and “sold” to the American Public as stop-gaps and stimulus for our declining economy, yet both have done neither. The banks have used the money to buy other banks, build their total nets and sell off toxic assets at inflated prices. The Stimulus has been held back save the 17-18% spent in helping certain states supplement their medicaid deficit, creating no jobs. Now we are in the midst of the debate on healthcare reform, which will no doubt be mismanaged, stolen away through fraud and waste, and just as it’s legislative predecessors, fall tragically short in accomplishing any of the goals it was served up to the public in answer to. The train of corruption and power-grabs rolls on and on. Get on board!!

The recent Senate Confirmation hearings for Judge Sonya Sotomayor, have by virtue of her now infamous ” Wise Latina” statement and her summary findings in the “RICCI” case, ( eventually overturned by the Supreme Court ), once again brought the subject of race to the forefront of our collective consciousness.

Having personally watched the hearings and noting that it was not until the questioning by Sen. Lindsay Graham, seventh in turn I believe, in addressing this “Wise Latina” statement, that the statement was actually recalled in it’s entirety including the words ” better than a white man”. I saw all previous Senators raise this issue but fall just short when vocalizing Judge Sotomayor’s statement. Obviously wanting to bring attention to the statement , but not having the testicular fortitude to actually repeat the entire statement. (Kudos to Sen. Graham for that.)

Today, (July 11,2009), we began the “dog and pony show” that is the confirmation hearings,  for Supreme Court Nominee Sonya Sotomayor, and sadly by the time this article reaches print, it will be all but over.  This highly disputed nomination, by virtue of the sheer mathematical numbers retained by Democrats within the Senate, will end unfortunately, with this judge sailing through and obtaining the appointment. It’s a lock!

I, as a firm believer that justice, can only be served properly, when this justice is blind, am leery of the ramifications of this and all appointments to our Supreme Court. An appointment for life!, equal in it’s importance as the third leg of our “Governmental Stool”, the Executive and Legislative Branches being the other two. It is the Supreme Court who as key elements to our “Checks and Balance” designed by our nation’s founders, that is tasked with the ultimate responsibility in ensuring that the rights and freedoms we as Americans retain, are never infringed upon by either of the two other branches of government, as they battle back and forth amongst themselves, and amongst each other on partisan issues.

There have been new studies on Archaeological sites, from which some scientists are spelling out new theories as to the apparent sudden demise,  (historically speaking), of the early man lineage, known as the Neanderthal. Some have theorized for years that it was a cataclysmic event similar to an asteroid strike, that according to them, wiped out the big dinosaurs. Some think it was the emergence and ultimate domination of the Cro-Magnon  state of our human development, who having developed mentally beyond their counterparts,  wiped out the Neanderthals in an aggressive and violent manner.

This fresh theory, derived at the scene of this recent dig site, is based on one family, or tribe, of Neanderthal bones, thought to be the last of the living Neanderthals,  found in Africa, and follows a premise as to their lives and lifestyle, as well as  their inevitable end, based on their geographical and social proximities. This thought process dictates that, it was perhaps something less violent, and more viral that wiped out these lesser numbered, and developed members of man’s genealogy. A simple virus obtained through contact with Cro-Magnons, unfamiliar to the Neanderthal system, and beyond their ability to treat, is touted in this study, as a possible cause to the end of the Neanderthals time on this planet.

New Power of regulation over the banking system is being proposed and most likely given to the Federal Reserve by this Congress. Remember, the FED, with all of it’s other tentacles attached to the heart of our economic well-being, is also the same FED which is printing up Trillions of dollars of fiat money,(money not backed by any real substance of value), and according to Reserve Chairman Bernanke, not allowing “We the People”, access to their books. Why?, you might ask, would Congress be giving this “Non Government Entity” more power by regulating more banks, when the FED itself, by allowing the bubbles and bursts on wall street and elsewhere, and by overprinting paper money and devaluing it,  is partly responsible for the economic woes of the day. The answer, simple but sinister, is,  that it is to the FED that Congress runs for huge, interest bearing loans,  whenever they crave to grow Government and cannot fund such growth through taxation or budget cuts, (Have they ever successfully cut any budget? Ever? )

Thankfully, Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, is not taking Chairman Bernanke’s veiled threat of imminent doom should their books be opened, as reality.  Rep. Paul has sponsored a bill, HR1207 ” The Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2009″. Just the sound of it rolls of the tongue like sweet syrup. But is it syrup?, or “Pie in the Sky”?  This bill, co-sponsored by some 253 other Congressional Representatives, including our own Rep. Dr. Charles Boustany,  is currently beginning the hazardous trek through it’s respective committees, before it can ever be discussed and debated on the floor.  At this time, it sits in committee, The House Financial Services Committee, Chaired by Rep. Barney Frank. It waits here until the chair decides to bring it forth, if he ever does. This Bill can easily die in committee, many do, hell most do!. It sits nicely tucked away amongst over 100 other current bills in this committee. One hundred Bills to be queried by this committees seventy-one members.

I was heartened to find that this bill has such 253 co-sponsors and pleased that even the Committee’s Ranking Member, Rep. Spencer Bachus, is himself  a co-sponsor and I hope, a driving force within this committee to help push it through. One name conspicuously absent from this large, and Bi-partisan list of co-sponsors, is that of Committee Chair Rep. Barney Frank. I believe the status-quo is, “the fox is looking after the hen house”, and I don’t think the little foxes like Bernanke and Frank want this situation changed. Leaving it as is, benefits and protects such highly entrenched individuals. I believe, Rep. Frank,  will not allow this bill out of committee any time soon, if ever. To open the books of the FED is tantamount to opening ‘Pandora’s Box” to these people. Looking far behind the curtain, to not only the man behind the wizard, we will actually see where they pay for the flying monkeys, and they can’t allow that!

It is the 253 co-sponsors,  who as we,  see the need for a transparent FED, that makes this legislation proposal the true value it is. A very bi-partisan group of representatives, many, (38), are actual members of the very House Financial Services Committee that is holding their co-sponsored bill now.  These 38 members are in reality a true majority within the 71 member committee! Surely, they can pressure his pompousness Mr. Frank to bring this bill forth to legitimate house debate. Ron Paul himself, sits on this committee. I hope to hear more as this legislation works it’s way through the fog of deceit and self-preservation, that is our United States’ Congress and Senate. I will be tracking this bill and keeping myself and any who wish to follow it with me informed.

To continue to throw money and power towards a supposed situation of economic instability, to an entity that doesn’t answer to the people, is not only doomed to failure due to the inaccuracy of steps being taken, it is in effect “pissing in the dark!”, we might hit it! we might not!  Increasingly it is proper information and detail of our current situation which is the  only tool that will help us make the correct decisions  needed to help remedy this problem. We must be allowed to know what the FED is doing. We must be able to ensure the value of our money, and above all, we must also inventory our gold reserves immediately.  Hyper-inflation or indeed a depression lurk just around the corner for the ignorant. We have the right to know, we must know and will remove in short order those who stand between us and this information. 2010 grows ever closer to many on the wrong side of history, and the survival of America and our Constitutional Rights.

America is in the midst of a sea change of social policy and economic engineering. We must be aware of this and preventative in our actions. Our Government is attempting, and in many ways succeeding in a renewed effort of growth and cost. This happens every 20 years or so and has gone on since our nations beginning. One has only to observe our Constitution and the amendment procedure to understand how certain generational modifications have been implemented to define further it’s various declarations. Let’s overview the genealogy of our amendments to the Constitution themselves and see where the tide changed from the people,s rights being protected, towards fueling Governmental growth and econonic deficit.
