After a decade of absence, Live Stand Up Comedy is returning to Maximillian’s at the Lafayette Hilton (Pinhook rd.), on Friday Sept.
Russell Hebert and his fledgling RWH Productions, who brought you 2012’s locally filmed and Premiered “Blood on the Bayou“, is
returning to his original medium, Stand Up Comedy, with the production of a FALL Series of “One Night! One Show!” events.
On the first Friday of each month, beginning with this first show on Sept. 5th, and running through Dec. 5th, this Four Show Series,
offers performances from as Hebert puts it, “Eight of the funniest people you will ever see.”
Headlining the initial show, is Austin,TX’s  Comedy Icon, Tom Hester. Tom has appeared on NBC, Comedy Central and is one of the most requested comics on X-M Radio ever. He has Won “Funniest Person in Austin” and Made an Award Winning film.( In The International Comedy Festival/ Just for Laughs). called,” A Fist Full of Pills”.  Ron White said,” TOM HESTER RULES THE WORLD”.
The show also features Carol Ann Reed, another “Austin Based” Comedian and friend.  Carol Ann has been touring the country, working with many other performers like Ron Shock and Ron White.
When asked if he was possibly coming out of retirement to perform again himself, Hebert answers, “Not Likely!”. Russell, who left the stage in 1996, after a decade of touring nationally,  and has since focused his efforts on the screenwriting and production aspects of entertainment, chuckles, “Hey, I’m hosting! That’ enough for now.”
Audiences can purchase advanced tickets on Wednesday Sept. 3rd and Thursday Sept. 4th for Friday’s show, at Maximillian’s, inside the Lafayette Hilton, at 1521 W Pinhook Rd., from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.  Doors open Friday Sept. 5th at 8 p.m., Show starts at 9 p.m.
“These are more than just comedians.” Hebert says. “These are friends, people I have known, worked with and respected, for a long time. These are gonna be some really good shows!”
