Blogging For A Better World

I want to live in a world where people can successfully process stress, understand how to adapt to chaos, live well in adversity, and stand up for what they believe in. I want to live in a world that is proactive in doing the work necessary to reach a solid mental state. I want to live in a world where people have the tools to change their biochemistry and the bad habits that enslave them, and have the self-confidence to improve. I dream about a society that has the emotional maturity to handle the various emotional states.

Currently, some mental health hotlines are reporting a 65 percent increase in calls and texts. Historically, when job loss and economic downturn occur, suicide rates rise. Domestic violence has also increased over the last several months.

The United States is in a mental health crisis. A recent survey found that 24.5 percent of U.S. college students admitted to taking psychotropic drugs. Another survey by The Recovery Village in Florida, consisting of 1,000 adults, found a 55 percent increase in alcohol consumption and a 36 percent increase in legal drug consumption (prescribed opiates and marijuana).

This is where I come in. In my blogs, I'll be discussing topics such as mental fortitude, habit formation and adaptation, practices to aid mental health, neuroscience, the link between mental ability and gut health, self-help practices, changing your inner dialogue, subconscious work (currently speculative, as not enough science supports many claims), and family life.

My goal is twofold: to share practices and information that may equip and enable you to be mentally strong, and to share my transformation changes with you.
